ABOUT ME

Theresa Singletary is currently the Director of Operations for the President's Office at Clemson University.  In her position she manages the President's Office, as well as oversees a variety of  projects for the President, including acting as liaison with Vice Presidential areas  across campus.



As part of the  President’s leadership team, she facilitates and participates in special projects, meetings, university outreach, and many other activities for the university both internally and externally, including interaction with donors, elected officials, alumni, and many other constituencies.

 

Theresa was born and raised in Tampa, Florida.  She has an undergraduate degree in Criminology from the University of South Florida and a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision in Higher Education from the University of Houston.  



After working for some 10 years in the private sector, she started her career in higher education at the University of South Florida as a Receptionist in the Division of Graduate Studies.   She then became Program Assistant, Administrative Assistant, and ultimately Executive Administrative Assistant to USF’s Provost.



When then-Provost at USF accepted the position of Chancellor and President in Houston in 2008, she brought Theresa with her as Executive Assistant to the Chancellor/President.  Theresa and her family spent 8 years in Houston before moving to Clemson, SC.



Theresa is married to Dan Singletary, an entrepreneur and business owner in Clemson, SC.  They are the very proud parents to Daniel Singletary, residing in Sebring, FL and Skyler Singletary, currently a senior  at the University of Houston.​
